We’re so excited to present our Piemonte Weekend special event, coming up on November 15th & 16th! Guest chef Davide Rapaglio, a Piemonte native and chef at Sonnmatten in Zermatt, will be sharing the Brasserie Uno Kitchen with our head chef Luis Romo to create a wonderful special menu full of Piemontese classic dishes! We will be serving ร la carte alongside a special Degustation Menu for those who want to try everything!
Right now, the owner, Andreas Alm, is in Piemonte with our head chef, Luis Romo, and Davide, sourcing all the wonderful Piemontese products they’ll use to create the special blackboard menu of delicious dishes! We want to create the most authentic experience possible for our guests, which is why our chefs personally wanted to go to the region and hand select the ingredients and produce they want to use to create all the fresh, delicious dishes that will be on the blackboard on Friday and Saturday nights!
Luis and Andreas set off from Zermatt yesterday morning to arrive at the small town of Navarro in the Piemonte region of Italy to enjoy a special lunch prepared by Davide, who was already in Piemonte, at his childhood farm! The boys all enjoyed a delicious meal that was a taste of things to come ๐ After finishing their wonderful lunch, they boys all set off forย Beccaria Cellars, a small vineyard in Ozzano Monferato, where they enjoyed a wine tasting with the owners Silvia and Laura. A family-run business on a UNESCO heritage site, the vineyard is spectacularly beautiful and it was a pleasure to select a few wines to accompany the dishes for the Brasserie Uno Piemonte Weekend special event.
Today the boys are in Alba, the white-truffle capital of the world, looking for white truffles to bring back to Zermatt especially for the special event! It’s a hard life ๐
